Laurence Carr Inc. is delighted to have provided a creative aesthetic direction – featuring Studio Laurence’s sustainable vessel collection – for The Swarovski Foundation in partnership with the UN Office for Partnerships, at their celebration reception honoring the third-year launch of their Creatives for Our Future program, their 10th anniversary, and the halfway point of the Sustainable Development Goals in the United Nations’ Delegates Dining Room.
Creatives for our Future is a program from the Swarovski Foundation that works with the United Nations Office for Partnerships to drive sustainable innovation.
This year’s cohort included six young innovators who are leading the way in sustainable development and were selected from 900 applicants around the world for their groundbreaking work designing sustainable solutions in the fields of fashion, beauty, design, architecture, engineering, and cartography.
Their projects include ice cream made from plastic waste, cosmetics from bacteria, textiles from fungi, and building blocks from landfill waste which were presented at the event alongside alumni projects from last year’s cohort. It was absolutely incredible to hear about the work these young people are doing!
It was an honor to be invited to this partnership and to hear the UN Deputy General Secretary Amina Mohammed’s thoughtful remarks, with a brilliant introduction from Jakhya Rahman-Corey, the Swarovski Foundation director.
Our sculptural circular luxury vessels brought an elevated sustainable beauty to the iconic United Nations Delegates Dining Room for this memorable and festive occasion, and we couldn’t be prouder to have been invited to provide a set design featuring our vessel collection.
Congratulations to all involved, especially the innovative Creatives For Our Future cohort – Julieta Gaitan, Eleonora Ortolani, Gunraagh Singh Talwar, Namra Khalid, Stanley Anigbogu, and J. Sebastian Garcia-Medina. It was an absolutely beautiful evening!
