Maison & Objet and Paris Design Week are hotly anticipated events each September, where the best of established and emerging design are showcased and celebrated in Paris.
This fall’s edition was significant for the Laurence Carr team, as our Studio Laurence Capsule Collection of Vessels made their European debut at Paris Design Week — Maison&Objet’s September 2023 edition curated celebration of avant-garde design at Paris Design Week Factory Turenne in the Marais.
In partnership with Galerie Vauclair and Maison Creative magazine, Laurence Carr designed a scenographie around the theme of infinite lifecycles and the juxtaposition of antique alloy with contemporary circular materials.
Galerie Vauclair’s rustic, antique black metal cages have lived many lives through their use and reuse in numerous iconic installations and events over the years.
Paired in contrast with Studio Laurence’s innovative biomaterials — upcycled from nature and crafted into modern sculptural silhouettes — this scénographie is a timeless celebration of longevity creations and our boundless ability to make the old new again.
It was thrilling to be in a central location, surrounded by emerging artists and innovative designers. We feel Maison & Objet was the perfect event for Studio Laurence’s European debut, bringing mindful circular luxury to the forefront. To learn more about Studio Laurence vessels go to Studio Laurence.
